Philly, city of brotherly love...And my Broadway debut!
Yes, amazingly enough, I actually had the chance to go on as Jean in the show. Now, let's not forget that my last time on stage was playing Lorraine in A Lie of the Mind about 8 years ago! It was hilarious and fun and exciting and I think the cast really had a good time with me. I know the show so well that I wasn't really worried about "messing up." I could do the lines in my sleep. I figured the worst that would happen is I wouldn't be very good! But I think it actually went pretty damn well. After some rehearsals with the understudies and Jane and plenty of line-running, I was prepared and not even nervous on the big night! I had a great time yelling at Shannon and Jeff and flirting with Larry and commiserating with DeLanna. And the cast was SO sweet to me -- flowers and gifts and cards and chocolates galore, and then we all went out to celebrate afterwards.
Many people have asked me if it made me want to act again...NO WAY! But it was really fun while it lasted.
