Off I go for more squeezing. After being squozed and gelled up like a pregnant belly, Doctor #2 said "You need a core needle biopsy." I said, "Are you sure? That doesn't sound like something I need at all." But it was. "Okaaay," I said. Annoying, but not really that concerning.
So I got stabbed a few times with this thing that looked like it should either give you a tattoo or pierce your ears. And Doctor #3 said, "We'll send these samples to the pathology lab and you can go see another doctor to read the results in a few days." "Um, okay," I said. Disconcerting, but not really that scary.
And Doctor #4 got the results and said "Unfortunately we found cancer cells in both the lymph node and the calcifications in the breast." And I said "...........................huh? Did you say something?" Surely this means they just kill those little cells, right? Or watch and see what happens? This doesn't mean I have CANCER, does it?
Yes, it does.
